Modulating RNA splicing to rejuvenate aged cells

SENISCA is working on a method to reverse cellular senescence through modulating RNA splicing back to levels seen in youth. Its aim is not to remove senescent cells as through senolytics; instead, it seeks to restore these cells back to a youthful state. Oligonucleotide-based therapeutic approaches will be used to reset splicing factor levels and thereby reverse senescence.
