About Ryan McGarry

Ryan McGarry has a background in cognitive neuroscience research focused on understanding the neural activity associated with cognitive attention in adults, as well as the neurocognitive effects of aging on the brain. He has over fifteen years of experience in leading grant-funded cognitive neuroscience research and previously managed a research laboratory at George Mason University which received over $20 million in funding from NIH, NIA, and U.S. Air Force. He was also the Head Neuroscientist & Vice President of Research at an applied commercial neuroscience research firm, where he led neuroscience research initiatives to develop algorithms that automatically detect levels of cognitive attention and emotional activity based on live input from EEG and other biometric devices.
