About Marek Pinto Marek Pinto is currently pursuing a dual B.A./M.S. degree in Mathematics & Computer Science with a minor in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He joined SRF through the education program as an Undergraduate Summer Scholar in June 2022, where he developed computational pipelines to predict and optimize the mRNA stability of mitochondrial genes. He then continued to work on the MitoSENS team as a part-time computational researcher. Currently, he is focusing on utilizing computational approaches to predict optimal sequences for the successful allotopic expression of mitochondrial genes.
