Organization Description

With over 50 years of history, the American Aging Association’s goals are to promote biomedical studies that increase lifespan and slow aging, keep the public informed about the progress of aging research, inform physicians and other professionals about the advances in biogerontology, and promote the career development of its trainees and scientists. The organization holds annual meetings to showcase the latest advances in this area of research, and it offers multiple awards for exceptional contributors to the field. It operates the well-known aging research journal Geroscience and has an ongoing peer review training program for this journal.
