Organization Description
Mayo Clinic is a nonprofit American academic medical center focused on integrated health care, education, and research. Its scope is very wide and it covers a variety of healthcare fields including aging research of which senescent cell removal, known as senolytics, is its most important contribution to our field and comes out of the Kirkland laboratory run by Dr. James Kirkland. Mayo pioneered the early senolytics research with dasatinib and quercetin that ignited wide interest in senolytics.
