Popular crowdfunding reward amounts typically tend to be in the $25 – $50 range, so do not feel pressured to have overly large number rewards. Here are some other things to consider when pricing your rewards:
Variety is Key:
While some contributors will be happy to contribute $100+ to a project, others may only able to pledge a smaller amount despite being just as interested in your project. Offer a variety of reward amounts so everyone can contribute at a level comfortable to them.
Choose the Right Quantity:
For many rewards it will be fine to accept any number of contributors, but for some it will be wise to place a sensible limit on that quantity. For example, if you are inviting contributors with you to a special event, you might only be able to have a few join you.
Do your best to have the price be commensurate with the value of the reward, with rarer and more involved rewards having the larger amounts. Also, be sure to take into consideration any potential costs fulfilling the reward may entail (materials, printing costs, reservations, etc).
Consider the timeline:
Will fulfilling this reward require a certain amount of time? Be clear about your expected timeline, and leaving some extra room is always a good idea. If something does cause a delay, be transparent about this to your contributors as well, stating your revised timeline.
