About Walter Crompton
A run-of-the-mill skeptical engineer who seeks sustainable ecology, creative opportunity, optimized health, affluent equality, and freedom from war and oppression for all. I enjoy technical challenges, socializing, history, archaeology, building or repairing stuff, engagement in music and other arts, rare fruits, dance, romance, food, and many other things. I am lucky to have a fine and warm family, but unlucky to not live near most of it. I volunteer regularly at the SENS Research Foundation, attend as many geroscience/health-extension events as I can fit in, and have found many good friends in that realm. Nancy Miceli is my extraordinary sweetheart. I used to identify as a communist activist, but after decades of failure in that arena, I shifted toward seeking indefinite, very healthy life as a step toward an unknowable future of generalized enhanced abilities and consciousness. It seems that long, highly intelligent and seasoned life might be a prerequisite to the brilliant social transformation I envision.
