One of the most commonly asked questions we receive is “How is progress going in aging research?” It is something we are asked so often that we decided to provide the community with a resource that will help them to keep track of progress directly.
To that end, today we have launched our new curated database, The Rejuvenation Roadmap, which will be tracking the progress of the many therapies and projects in the rejuvenation biotechnology field. This database aims to give a quick visual summary of the status of each drug or therapy along with some additional information for people interested in learning more about them.
We believe that an informed community is an effective one, and this was one of our motivations for developing this new database. There are many resources for scientists, such as the superb databases of the Human Ageing Genomic Resources maintained by Dr. João Pedro de Magalhães, which are excellent for researchers. However, we noticed that there was no database that tracked the efforts of the many researchers and projects in the field, and while some people do maintain lists, they are often not public facing, easy to access, or user-friendly.
Obviously, this is very much a work in progress, and the current list of therapies is relatively small, but it does give an idea of how it will work, and it is not hard to see how this could grow into a comprehensive resource for the community. The database will continue to grow and be updated as time passes, giving a unique, up-to-date overview of where the science and progress currently is. We hope that you like what we are doing with The Rejuvenation Roadmap and that you will find it useful.

Steve, really great to see a status report for all pertinent projects for aging by LEAF. Between yours/LEAF work and Reason’s “Fight Aging”, we can speed up the process for rejuv treatments, ADG not withstanding, of course.
BTW, if the left side of this chart work that has a ways to go before getting to clinical studies? Just want to be sure I have a clear understanding of the chart.
Thanks

Thanks Robert, yes the more to the left the marker is the earlier in the process it is. So those projects more to the right into the clinical trial phases are in humans and being tested. There are a few and I have lots more projects to add to the database.

Hello, I just have one suggestion, that a brief description or link appear when you hover the mouse over an aging hallmark. I love this Roadmap and will be visiting it often, great work!

Excellent! Would love more description on how this was created, choices made, etc. Also, embedded links to key information on each therapy and progress on each would be cool.
