We’re continuing to release talks from Ending Age-Related Diseases 2019, our highly successful two-day conference that featured talks from leading researchers and investors, bringing them together to discuss the future of aging and rejuvenation biotechnology.
Joe Betts-LaCroix discussed the prioritization of aging compared to other government programs, the relationship between finance and human health, funding sources, and how YCombinator provides funding for startups. He went into detail about venture-funded startups in the biotechnology space, explaining their attitudes and culture, and explained how his company differs from this conventional model. Perhaps most critically to the in-person audience, he outlined what qualities a biotechnology startup needs to have before YCombinator considers funding it.
