Lifespan.io Webinar – Aging and the Microbiome - YT Video

On Monday, April 8th, we will be hosting our second Lifespan.io webinar, during which we will be discussing the microbiome and its role in aging and disease.

Our second research webinar

Our work is largely supported by the generosity of our monthly patrons, the Lifespan Heroes, so to thank them we have launched a new series of exclusive webinars where Heroes can join the researchers live, listen to discussion panels, and take part in Q&A sessions.

Our second webinar will take place on Monday, April 8th at 1 PM EST. It will be hosted by Dr. Oliver Medvedik with guests Dr. Mike Lustgarten, Dr. Amy Proal, and Dr. Cosmo Mielke. They will discuss the microbiome, which has increasingly been implicated in aging and the development of age-related diseases.

Our bodies play host to a community of micro-organisms, including bacteria, archaea, fungi, viruses, and other microbes. Collectively, they are known as the microbiota, and they form an ecosystem within your body. Your body’s microbiome is all the genes that your microbiota contain, though the words microbiota and microbiome are often used interchangeably.

If you are a Lifespan Hero, you will have the chance to join us live for many webinars and have the opportunity to learn about this fascinating aspect of aging research and to gain insight into what goes on in the lab. We’ll email the webinar connection instructions to our Heroes on the day of the event, so please check your inbox for this nearer the time.

If you cannot join us for this webinar, don’t worry; we will be recording all of our webinars and making them available for our Heroes to enjoy a few months prior to public release.

Calling all the Heroes

This year, our plan is to reach out to an even wider audience and engage with them about the need to end age-related diseases. We aim to hire another team member so that we can cover more news stories, buy new equipment, produce more films with popular Youtube channels, launch a two-day conference in NYC, and do more online shows, including this new webinar series.

However, to do this, we need your help.

By becoming a Lifespan Hero, you become a monthly patron and can change or halt your contributions at any time. In return for your support, you get access to the Heroes’ Private Discord channel, enjoy discounts on our event tickets, get early access to conference videos and live access to webinars, and receive regular reports on our progress and future plans.

Please consider becoming a Lifespan Hero today. We look forward to seeing you at our next webinar.

To do this, we need your support. Your charitable contribution tranforms into rejuvenation research, news, shows, and more. Will you help?
