Machine Learning for drug discovery

Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts and co-founded by Dr. David Sinclair and Dr. Bogdan Budnik, Spotlight Biosciences has created a drug discovery platform that allows researchers to identify and quantify thousands of new peptides.

Their platform allows the identification of thousands of new small proteins (peptides), some which may have relevance to aging biology and age-related diseases. The company makes use of machine learning to help it map new and recently discovered genes that were not recorded in the original human genome mapping projects of the early 2000s.

This research may then allow the company to use its library of peptides to identify proteins that may affect intercellular communication to delay aging, combat age-related diseases, and increase healthy human lifespans.

It is a daughter company of Life Biosciences, which owns multiple rejuvenation biotechnology companies each focusing on a different hallmark of aging
